I contributed Chapter 24, The Confluence of Bitcoin and the Global Sharing Economy, to The Handbook of Digital Currency. Professor David Lee Kuo Chuen of Singapore Management University kindly invited me to author a chapter in this curated handbook; generously, the topic was of my choosing. The new application (and consequence) of distributed networks in finance, commerce, and machine communication will drive the next innovation revolution. The confluence of events across these three areas will fuel the pace of growth and increase the depth of impact. This is what I’ve explored in Chapter 24.
